repetitive loss property

a property that is currently insured for which two or more National Flood Insurance Program losses (occurring more than 10 days apart) of at least $1,000 each have been paid within any 10-year since 1978. While repetitive loss properties constitute only 2% of insured properties, they account for 40% of flood damage claims against the NFIP.
